"Katie Thiroux has once again created a Discover Double Bass course that helps demystify so many vital tools for playing jazz bass at any level! Her course has multiple chapters that include foundational technique exercises, improving your time feel, ear training, transcription work, practicing with only yourself, building melodic improvisation both in your walking and soloing, learning tunes on the bandstand, building your own solo bass piece, and so much more!

My favorite thing about Katie’s teaching is that she always applies her exercises, either on walking or soloing, so you immediately know how to use these tools. I cannot wait to start shedding her material and using these phenomenal techniques with my own studio. Thank you KT for your stellar pedagogy!
