Session One: We start our discussion by looking back to Avishai Cohen's origins story, his key influences, the experience of learning from and playing alongside musical legends in 90's New York, his practice routine and how he was able to make so much progress in those formative years.
Session Two: We discuss various topics, including Avishai's approach to sound production, right hand technique, the duo and trio format, key Latin and jazz influences.
Session Three: In this session, we continue our deep dive into Avishai's personal approach to double bass technique with a discussion around left hand technique and how to make your bass lines and solos sing.
